How has the Election affected the North Devon Property market?

With the election seemingly been hanging over the property market and the UK as a whole since the turn of the year, and whispers of hung parliaments and potentially a further election to follow, what will all those house movers that were sat firmly on the fence look to do after the somewhat shock Conservative majority?

The proof is already in the pudding, with months of Estate Agents available stock hitting rock bottom, its seemingly business as usual with vendors taking the bold jump off the fence and placing their properties on the market. Anecdotal evidence shows that the numbers of portal enquiries are up as to the number of Market Appraisals and viewings booked in for some of the stickier stock.

Property Market set to Spring into Summer

In a recent press release from the number 1 property portal, Rightmove, cites the post-election jump of 2010 when the number of sellers rose by 17%, and they believe the same will happen again following this year’s election.
