The Beauty of Bude

Bude is the most Northerly town in Cornwall and offers the first welcome when crossing the border from North Devon.

Despite not having the exposure that the more well-known Newquay has Bude is its equal and better in more ways than 1. Being a bit of a hidden gem Bude has a laid back charm, and unlike Newquay has not been spoiled by large scale brash development and still retains much of its traditional values.

With 7 beaches that surround the Bude area, you can always find that little bit of peace and tranquillity, or for the more adventurous there are a wealth of beach activities and water sports on offer, surfing, canoeing, kite surfing and gig rowing to name but a few.

Bude offers a good range of facilities with a choice of shops, restaurants and sports facilities, yet is small enough to have avoided the chain hotels, eating houses and bars, and enjoys quiet and relaxed nightlife.
